What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome in your life?
I’ve experienced several paradigm shifts throughout my life that affected all aspects of it from my sense of self, the world, my income, my business, my relationships, and my health.
What are your three top tips to overcome the obstacle?
When we face change, our system reacts with the fight/ flight/ freeze (and often avoid) response. We cannot think thoughts that are associated with emotions that are different from the state we are in.
– For example, in a happy emotional state, we think thoughts that are full of possibility.
– In a fearful emotional state, we have thoughts that focus on the problem or danger we feel.
So in order to be able to think with our full capacity, we must shift our emotional state from stress to calm.
3 easy ways to do so are:
– Exhales longer than inhales
– Crossing your arms on your chest
After several minutes, our state begins to change and we can think more clearly so we can make better choices. These are some of the basics of re-wiring your mind to work WITH you, rather than against you.
