What are your three top tips to overcome the obstacle?

 Time-saving Tips.

In small businesses, owner-operators need to handle marketing themselves because the budget doesn’t allow for additional help.

Tips for maintaining your sanity are:

  1. Make a list of ALL the channels you post content to, especially free.  Create a spreadsheet or similar table that outlines the number of posts you are sending to each social channel each week.  Write a small hint in each of them for the type of content to post for that time/day eg: special product promotion.  Note which posts could be shared across different channels – eg Facebook Live Shared to YouTube.

  1. Make a list of all the “special dates” relevant to you, your business, your location to ensure you include them when creating your content.

  1. Ensure there is a mix of “business” as well as “fun” content, and that it’s appropriate for the channel you’re posting to.  Some content can be created in advance. Eg “Fun Friday” theme –create all in one sitting and schedule them at the right time.  Use your framework to complete the content spaces weekly according to the hints.

Bonus Tip 1:  Be the Authority in your Industry or Niche.  Create a channel (Video Channel, Social Media Group, Audio Series, Print Media …. Or?) where you share the best info available and interact with others in aligned organisations.  Consistently share updates, best content, and reviews of related resources so your key audience wants to visit your channels over and over – You become the “GoTo” and more people will simply “want” to work with you; they will actually ask to work with you or buy from you – throw out the “hard sell” forever.

Bonus Tip 2:  Don’t be afraid of video.  The fear and uncertainty are all in our heads (yep, me too).  Just start.  The sooner you start, the sooner you become more comfortable with it – then you will improve over time. Just begin – now – today.

Most importantly – Have fun!
