An interview with Jasmina Bajde Life Coach
What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome in your life?
As an adult child of alcoholism, I struggled with extreme lack of confidence, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and had boundary issues that were manifested in a toxic relationship. I was also a perfectionist which led me to health issues.
When I hit the rock bottom I miraculously came across a book with the topic of addictions and ACA and all of a sudden I knew I wasn’t going mad but my condition had a name and explanation. I decided it was time for a transformation which led me to 8 years of therapy and education about my issues.
I used to work in archaeology for 10 years followed by 9 years as a Travel Director. My desire to improve my discipline and way of life that would include my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual self-care led me to holistic medicine so I started studying Ayurveda. All this gave me profound knowledge, wisdom that has now become my contribution!
What are your three top tips to overcome the obstacle?
- Define your responsibility- recognize what it is that you can control and do your best and let go of the rest- have faith everything works out for the higher good. You came here to learn and the wisdom gained is priceless.
- Get to know yourself and make sure you practice physical self-care (sleep, food, exercise), social self-care (connections, relationships), psychological self-care (boundaries), professional self-care, personal self-care (hobbies), spiritual self-care.
- Always, always love yourself- be authentic- this is your strength.
