What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome in your life?
The biggest obstacle I have had to overcome is being diagnosed in 2002 with Bipolar 1 Disorder and also being an Addict my entire life. Also known as Dual-Diagnosis. These two combined are a daily struggle to not use drugs or alcohol and to not act like an insane person. So any day that neither of those two happens is a good day. But today I am Happy, Joyful, Successful, and Free. Thriving and not just Surviving.
What are your three top tips to overcome the obstacle?
- Tip # 1 is SELF CARE/SELF LOVE – I put my needs in front of everybody else’s wants. Such as Confidence, Meditation, Yoga, Reading, Bubble Bath, Cup of Tea, Journaling, getting a Professional Massage, getting closer with my Spirituality.
2. Tip # 2 is LIVE IN THE PRESENT – I do not think about the past nor do I worry about The Future
