An interview with Natascha Slemenjak Podobnik Life Coach

What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome in your life?

Having worked as a professor of foreign languages for many years as well as a sales coach, I’ve gained many precious skills. My passion for psychology, human behaviour and sales techniques has had a huge impact on my lessons as it has significantly improved my students’ skills. I wanted to share my expertise in additional workshops, and help younger adults acquire essential communication skills that would make them more successful in life. However, working in “the system” wasn’t the optimal environment for spreading my special skills.

I felt extremely disappointed that I couldn’t help them. Leaving my cushy job wasn’t easy, but my desire to help others in even more effective ways was simply too strong to stay put.

I finally saw my real worth and I knew that my mission was to support individuals who needed effective communication skills.

But then an obstacle emerged: my lifelong perfectionism. I thought that my coaching programs had to be “perfect” before I could finally launch them. But this block only slowed me down. I needed to work on my mindset. I finally overcame that fear by setting a launch date and going by the rule “Better done than perfect.” I’m so grateful for that decision because everything turned out just right.

As a business coach and sales expert, I now help entrepreneurs, coaches and educators start and scale their profitable online businesses so they can live a life of freedom and abundance by doing what they love. Helping them launch successful 6 figure online businesses and open new perspectives that they haven’t yet been aware of is so rewarding.

What are your three top tips to overcome the obstacle?

  1. Know your worth and believe in yourself and your skills.
  2. Focus on the impact you can make in the world.
  3. Work on your mindset and ditch your perfectionism. Later there will be enough time for improvement – people need you NOW!
