An interview with Tiffany Lorraine Galloway Life Coach
What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome in your life?
I always wanted to be a mother and have a traditional family.
That is not my story. My first marriage was short and abusive resulting in becoming a birth mother. Years later I tried again.
My second marriage appeared to be perfect with a bright future. Despite the birth of two beautiful children, there were problems. We were in therapy for six more years before it was clear the relationship was over. I became a divorced single mother with two young children.
As I moved forward with my life a new relationship bloomed. It seemed so full of promise. After some ups and downs came an unplanned pregnancy. With this miracle, I thought I knew what my life would look like by the time my little bundle arrived.
However, due to circumstances beyond my control, I found myself alone. So, unfortunately, I confronted the Covid-19 crisis in my third trimester with my two children at home while I attended college full-time. Notwithstanding the extreme difficulty, I delivered a healthy baby, got good grades, and continued my schooling. I still walk with God daily to raise my children on my own. I have come to accept my motherhood as it is.
What are your three top tips to overcome the obstacle?
- Find daily habits that calm, fulfill, and sustain your health
- Create a network of support – don’t go it alone!!! You can find what you need in a therapist, a coach, a mentor, a friend, a family, a sisterhood, a brotherhood, a community…
- Treasure your truth and keep creating the life you desire even if all you can do is take it one hour or one day at a time. You have everything you need inside you.
