Our Values

Every business has a set of values, whether we describe them, or are aware of them or not.
The values we work to at Going Beyond The Illusion are.

Here’s how each value presented itself to us.

In 2021 David was writing his first book, and after the final edit he thought “I can ask my coaching friends if they would like to join”. David knew their contribution will be valuable for the readers and it will good for his coaching friends. The value of love didn’t jump out at that stage, it made its appearance a little later, but it’s where it started.

His book became an Amazon bestseller and the feedback from his coaching clients and friends was very appreciative, they really welcomed the opportunity of being in a book, especially a best seller. David decided to do a 2nd book but this time all the content came from the coaches, the book was written by them.

Like the first book, people could join for free, and for the second book the coach could have more content if they made a small contribution. Where as coaches could become co-authors with other publishers for $1000s, David offered the opportunity at zero cost, or for extra words they could invest $37.

This is where David recognised the love received and the abundance that was being created, and it was now when David started using “Love and Abundance” together when sharing this project.

It would make sense to bring the co-authors together in a small group, David did it on Whatsapp. The intention was to be able to speak to all co-authors very quickly when messages needed to get out. And a community started and flourished.
It was very apparent a community had been born and the co-authors loved it.
We now have the values of love, abundance and community.

In an interview held by Co-Author Sharon Gist, Sharon said to David, “I love your evolution”. Sharon was not only talking about David but also the books and the community, we were now on our 4th or 5th book. “Evolution” jumped out at David, but rather it being an instance of “hey do you like this?” it was very much the case of “Evolution is happening, and it’s the 4th value.” It’s the evolution of David, the business, the books and the members all taking part, it was a beautiful observation by Sharon, one David is very thankful for.

David was very happy with the 4 values, he knew it could change and knew when the time would be right.

In October of 2022 David was talking with Rob about the values and how they will represent themselves when the time was right. “Surely if there is a fifth value David, is has to be impact.” said Rob. He was right. It’s why we are here.

They are the values that have come to the front and it’s the values we strive to deliver throughout our work.
